I want half of EVERYTHING!!!

Just when you thought things couldn't get an weirder they do. What would you do if your partner filed for divorce and asked that you that he wanted half of everything, including the house? Would you "saw" your house in half? I'm serious,.......apparently it's possible. MSN listed an article (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27113959/?GT1=43001) in which a marriage is terminated and the husband wants the house divided in two,..he actually wanted the house sawed. The funny thing is that the wife allowed this. Yea he wanted her to go through a bad situation. Now I'm wondering who got the bathroom........

Religious BS

I rarely talk about religion because I respect everyone and their views. I don't try to convince anyone that a certain religion is better than another one or try to make you convert into my religion. That's why I don't touch the subject. But this is an exception.
I'm originally from the Dominican Republic and back home religion is very important. It's so important that religion is taught in schools (very different from the US). Almost everyone goes to church every Sunday, attend retreats, hold services in their home on certain occasions. They really take it seriously. That's all fine with me, but one thing that really gets to me is that some of these "religious" people do it to be seen as a "good christian" in the eyes of the community. All the while in closed doors they say and do things that say otherwise. I remember this one person that her daughter's school was asking her for her daughter's baptism record. She didn't know where she put it and since she is from a very small town on the outside of Santo Domingo she didn't even bother going back to ask for a copy. What she intended on doing was baptizing her daughter again with new godparents. This to any person is wrong! She said that she was only doing it for her certificate because she need it and that she wasn't going to register it. Mind you this person is always criticizing other on wrongs......and of course I stood up and told her how I felt because a person is only baptized once and doing otherwise is wrong and she shouldn't have even thought about that. It's a sin! One of her sisters had to do her the favor of going to her small town and asking the church for a copy of her certificate.
For this reason I sometimes don't believe those individuals whom claim to "serve the lord"...........

Internet love,.....

I love the Internet. I can spend hours on there. I used to love chat room but I've kind of strayed away from them. Not purposely but it just happened. It might have been for the best, because although the Internet is great it has it's negative aspects. My cousin is an Internet freak,...she could spend all day connected just surfing and on different chat room. Recently she met this guy,...he seemed great. She said he was perfect exactly what she was looking for. I'm not a real big fan of Internet dating; never done it or even been attracted to do it. But she is one of those people that was willing to give it a try. Within weeks she said she was in love. So in love that they had set a date to be married. To me this is weird. I mean I really don't know how you can marry a person you rarely know. Meeting him through the Internet somewhat bothers me but then again a person can lie to you in person and on the web. Anyways, sadly enough they were set to be married within a few weeks and for some reason the wedding is on hold. He hasn't responded her calls; he lives too far to just hop on over and see if he's okay and she doesn't know his family. This is why it's weird.
It's hard for me to place myself in her position because I didn't agree with the relationship from the beginning. Find a man who is nearby. You need to FEEL affection not only receive emoticons about them........
Anyone been through this?

Don't be dogged......

As sad as it sounds not only do we have to keep an eye for cheating spouses, but also for cheating pets! Come again? You heard it,......pets will apparently leave their owner in search for a better life. Just when you thought it was going to get easier we find out about this. The sad part is we don't speak "dog"; so how will we ever get to explain ourselves or hear "their" side of the story? Your spouse cheats you can always talk and try to fix whatever caused the spouse to stray. Try getting your message across to a dog,....."woof, woof, wwwwooooooff,.....grrrrrr".....you think I made my point?

My animal Instincts....

As I opened my web browser I see some MSN news about an owner punching a shark to save his dog. This is quite interesting to me because I have a four-legged best friend as well. I try to imagine myself in the beach, a beautiful day, the sun is out, with just the right amount of wind to keep you from burning up. The dog running around exploring the sand and trying not to get touched by the water as the small waves make their way up the shore and then out of nowhere I see my little dog be attacked by a shark,.....what do I do?
I set the same situation to my husband and his first reaction is "He's just a dog!".....then I said what? Just a dog? He was our first "baby" before our son was born,......can you listen to him, he's barking and whining and asking for us to save him from the beast, his poor little limbs trapped between the jaws of a beast,....then he looked at me with all the sadness in his eyes and said "You're right! I'd try to save him." I don't know how one would act in such a situation because it doesn't matter how many times I redo the scenario in my head and figure out what I would do and act if something like that would happen,.....it all comes down to your animal instincts........we all have it and when you really care for something or are attached to something you don't think you just act without considering the consequences.
well I'm off to the beach,......but to be on the safe side the dog stays!

Let's get it started......

So this is what it feels like,.....I've heard all this hype about blogging,....then I see a friend has a website and she's blogging and I must admit that reading her blogs makes me laugh,...it helps me disconnect from my daily life and for once be in someone else's shoes. It allows me to get inside the persons head, it helps me understand them.
I don't know what to expect from this other than be exposed to different things, learn about them and see different perspectives. I guess in the meantime I hope that my blogs entertain, teach, and fill you in on all different types of topics and issues both personal and some that may have nothing to do with me.........in the end I hope we can learn from one another.
