Pick your sex......?

I’ve always wanted 2 kids,….a boy and a girl, and the boy first…….and so far I had my first child a boy,….just as asked……but now I’m hoping that in a year or so I get pregnant again,..and I really hope it’s a girl. I mean gender has never been suuuper important but it would be awesome to get the experience of raising a boy and a girl.
People ask me if I want more kids and I say yes,…and I mention that I would like God to bless me with a little girl next. Among the many people who have asked this question was a cousin of mine whom owned a farm years ago and he told me something that may make sense. He said “we’re animals and we’re just like cows when it’s come to reproduction…..if you want a boy you wait for the full moon. If you want a girl you wait for the new moon.” He said he has 2 children a boy and a girl and he sad he “planned” both. Now I don’t know if this may be true because I don’t know the exact date that my baby boy was conceived. Is this possible? He told me that this was the method used by farmers in Dominican Republic to get more female cows conceived. I’ve heard other stories like, “want a boy? Have sex with your socks on.” Um,…yea and what scientific theory supports this?

Religious BS

I rarely talk about religion because I respect everyone and their views. I don't try to convince anyone that a certain religion is better than another one or try to make you convert into my religion. That's why I don't touch the subject. But this is an exception.
I'm originally from the Dominican Republic and back home religion is very important. It's so important that religion is taught in schools (very different from the US). Almost everyone goes to church every Sunday, attend retreats, hold services in their home on certain occasions. They really take it seriously. That's all fine with me, but one thing that really gets to me is that some of these "religious" people do it to be seen as a "good christian" in the eyes of the community. All the while in closed doors they say and do things that say otherwise. I remember this one person that her daughter's school was asking her for her daughter's baptism record. She didn't know where she put it and since she is from a very small town on the outside of Santo Domingo she didn't even bother going back to ask for a copy. What she intended on doing was baptizing her daughter again with new godparents. This to any person is wrong! She said that she was only doing it for her certificate because she need it and that she wasn't going to register it. Mind you this person is always criticizing other on wrongs......and of course I stood up and told her how I felt because a person is only baptized once and doing otherwise is wrong and she shouldn't have even thought about that. It's a sin! One of her sisters had to do her the favor of going to her small town and asking the church for a copy of her certificate.
For this reason I sometimes don't believe those individuals whom claim to "serve the lord"...........
